In order to generate a report you can go to Reports view, select any report from the list which contains default reports and your custom reports for all entities, and then click Generate Report button in the ribbon.
When you need to generate a certain report for certain entity, you simply select this entity view, click the drop down list on Generate Report button and select the required report related to this entity.
If you need to generate a report for one record only, you can open its detail view and click the Generate Report button there.
